This matrial arts school is one of the best I have ever found!!! Ive studied martial arts now on and off for years, and after getting out of the military, I have been looking for a school that not only teaches disipline, but also is traditional and has NO CONTRACT. This school is just that. They dont need a contract because once you enter the dojo, and participate in even just one class, you will come back wanting more. Because the classes are not only informative, they are fun and exciting!!! I am very greatful I finally found a school that fits all my catagories, and then some!!!!

Love this place! Kids want to go 5 days a week! I have seen a huge change in my son. He has been doing his home work all on his own, it used to be such a fight. He has something to look forward to, he has goals, and you should see his face when the instructor says good job.
Its like a family there, everyone is very friendly. Seems like I've known them forever.Truly we were blessed to have found this place. Finding people who really care about the kids, and take that extra time to listen to them in this busy world is hard to find.
I'm even thinking I could try this, they make it look so fun. Maybe this can be hubby and I's new date nite!

Very involved and Family Oriented School. Greatly appreciate a place where we can take our child to learn fundamentals with patience and perserverance. My Son is at the beginning of something that will be with him for a lifetime. We are very happy that we found this school and we can have this experience to grow with. Definately recommend!!!

Budo Shingikan is a wonderful family atmosphere. My two boys attend several times a week. The instructors are very caring and want each child to have the best possible experience. They are learning the importance of having a good attitude, self control and respect.

I have been training at the Budo Shingikan for a few months now and I can say that I am very impressed! I have trained for periods of time in other martial arts in other cities. I have never come across a teacher that combines the skill and passion of Sensei D'Antonoli. Aikido is a challenging art to learn, and Sensei as well as the other teachers make it fascinating and just tough enough to push we students to perform at our best, but not so tough as to make it discouraging. I've been at the latter kind of dojo before.
Sensei D'antonoli also strikes a great balance between the spiritual aspects of the art, and the more hardcore, practical elements that will get you through a street altercation. Both are very important in the study of Aikido.
If you are interested in really learning traditional Japanese martial arts, this is the place to go.

My husband and I strongly believe The Budo Shingikan Dojo is a true Authentic Japanese Martial Arts school. I am a native Japanese and I know what its like learning Aikido in Japan. I was very happy and satisfied when I found this Dojo and joined the classes. I believe Darrell D'Antonoli Sensei's teaching is very traditional, and he is one of the most educated instructors I have met. We not only enjoy Aikido class but also other classes (Jujitsu) they offer, all events the dojo has and being a part of dojo family!!

I have known Sensei D'Antonoli for several years. Having trained under him in Aikido and beside him in other arts, I can say that the Martial Arts are his true Passion. When he instructs it is with authority, but when training in an art that is new to him he possesses the humility to maintain his role as a student without presenting the “I am a blackbelt” mentality. The Dojo itself strives to maintain the essence of Japanese Martial arts. If you are looking for a dojo full of bright primary colors and thousands of children screaming kiais at the top of their lungs while eye of the tiger plays in the background, THIS IS NOT YOUR SCHOOL! However, if you are looking for the essence of Martial Arts or Self-Defense, for yourself, your child, or your whole family, taught in a straightforward traditional and practical way, Visit this Dojo, IT WILL BE YOUR DOJO!

My boys and I have been studying under D'Antonoli Sensei for the last year or so. I couldn't possibly give anyone a higher recommendation. Not only have I gained knowledge of Aikido, but I consider everyone at the dojo family. The level of trust I have for Sensei and my fellow students allows me to enjoy learning new tecniques, while never worrying that I'll be taken advantage of. Once you visit the Budo Shingikan Dojo, you'll know you've found your new home. 5 stars for sure.

"Enthusiastic, passionate, understandable, inspirational", these are the words to best describe D'Antonoli Sensei, his love for art is contagious. I have been a deshi for two months as well as my two children and my wife is also taking personal training. I have also asked my brother (who is now a deshi), my uncle, his family and my friends. This to me is a great new experience I will recommend D'Antonoli Sensei to everyone.

Darrell Sensei, congratulations on your dojo and your many training opportunities. Your dedication and enthusiasm for this great art are obvious and a great inspiration to me. I have worked with you many times over the years and each time has been a joy. I'm glad we are still connected and I hope our Aiki relationship continues forever. Keep up the good work!

I spend five nights a week at the Dojo. I am mom of four and love the enviroment that I am taking my kids to. Three of my children participate in the classes and they love it. My one son who has difficulty focusing in school is learning to control his squirly body and focus in class. What he is learning in the Dojo is helping in the classroom. We have had fewer disipline problems at school. The instructors are great with my kids and it is a safe enviroment. I feel that my children are challanged to learn but not pressured to perform. They each work at the pace that is best for them. Thanks D'Antonoli Sensei for being a positive force in the lives of my kids.

I have been a student of Sensei Berghian for over 5 years now and he is a fantastic Jujutsu instructor and friend. His patience is unlimited, his technical expertise unquestionable and his modesty is in abundance. I find that I learn something new every time I train with him. I highly recommended him.

D'Antonoli Sensei's dedication to Budo is definitely shown through his commitment to tradition and is witnessed by his students and through his instruction of philosophical and practical technique. Sensei is patient, attentive and does not rest until he is sure that we as students understand and can apply what he has taught. Having worked with other instructors and Sensei over the years, I can without hesitation, recommend D'Antonoli Sensei to anyone who is seriously interested in complete personal growth and to anyone who is committed to Budo and who has fallen in love with the art of Aikido.

D'Antonoli Sensei is a dynamic and knowledgable instructor. He has a powerful presence and can guide and instruct all age ranges and fitness levels. My children learned a great deal from D'Antonoli Sensei in their first year of Aikido and they really enjoyed their time with him. You can tell that D'Antonoli Sensei truly loves to teach and is passionate about martial arts and sharing his knowledge with his students, as well as everyone around him. I wholeheartedly recommend D'Antonoli Sensei.

I've been a student of aikido for over 10 years. Unfortunately I have not been able to find a school that fits me for most of that time until now. The classes are well structured and sincere. I look forward to continuing my training here. Also I like the many different arts they offer!

My children and I have been a student under D'Antonoli Sensei for over a year now, and I cannot imagine going anywhere else. In fact, when my wife and I were considering a move back to California, not being able to train at the Dojo was huge factor in my wanting to stay in Arizona. When you earn a rank within the Dojo you absolutely feel like you EARNED it. You will receive topnotch instruction, but you'll find good friends as well. When you come in say hello.

Budo Shingikan has so much to offer! Professionals dedicated to training you to be the best you can be. Fully professional, always friendly. A variety of the martial arts is available for the learning. The teachers bring many years of experience to Budo Shingikan and are very knowledgeable. My son enjoys going to the classes. He started the classes to learn Karate and has gained so much more from them. Respect, knowledge of the martial art, friendships, physical fitness, hard work and dedication. And along the way of learning Aikido, he is making friends. :) We can't wait for the next lesson!

My son has been a student for 6 months and thoroughly enjoys being with the other students and training under D'Antonoli Sensei. The attention to detail in the training is excellent. It is a great place to learn martial arts! it is a good place to try your best and to be your very best. Discipline and respect is reinforced. This is something that I as a parent can really appreciate. I am so glad that this is my son's martial arts school of choice and he is glad with the friendships he has made there. Yes, it is a great place to make friends!

We have been taking our 4 year old daughter to the Pee Wee Class (3-4 year olds) and she has been having a great time. The kids are all very comfortable with Sensei D'Antonoli and Ms. Shannon. The class has enough repetition to build the kids' confidence, but each class also offers something new for the kids to learn. My daughter has also enjoyed learning to count in Japanese. I love that my daughter is eager to go to each class and is always disappointed when class is over (always a sign of a good thing!). Of course, the disappointment doesn't last long since the Dojo Dog, Hoshi, comes out to offer a perfect ending to a job well done.

I have two boys, ages 4 and 8, who attend classes at Budo Shingikan. I have seen both the Pee Wee class and the children's class. In both classes, the Sensei's and their assistants are very knowledgeable in the art. Their patience with the children is wonderful. My boys enjoy going to class and are learning quickly. The dojo is very family friendly and welcoming place.
